Today we’re gonna run through one of my mixes one of my mixes I’m actually gonna mix this song live I hadn’t pre-mixed this so I’m just going to kind of dive in and kind of do what I would do in my mix flow and just kind of work through this song
This sound takes up so much real estate in the song it’s really the whole vibe of the track
This roads kind of key sound so it’s important to really have that vibe and groove but not really mess with the vocal
I learned about this plugin from David Guetta actually actually let me do a little crunching
I may back certain levels down or you know and that plug- in I put on the master bus is sometimes it can act as kind of just a glue to kind of push things together and bring things in your face and up and I kind of like it like how it sounds a lot of times
You try to fix the mix and try to add Reverb and do all the stuff but if you fix the basics it’s always about the fundamentals it’s always about coming back to what you know is fundamental to a song it has to feel right it has to move right the mix then becomes kind of secondary in that sense once you get all the other things in place
